What is The World of Dinosaur Roar!?

The World of Dinosaur Roar! is a series of children’s books and characters created by Peter Curtis, published by Hachette Children’s Group and produced in association with the Natural History Museum in London.

About the Author

Peter Curtis is a Welsh-born author, creator and producer of children’s characters, books and television series, including some of the most successful animated television shows for young children, including Bob The Builder, Rubbadubbers and The Koala Brothers. With over twenty-five years' experience in children's media, he is the writer and creator of The World of Dinosaur Roar!

The Picture Book Classic

The World of Dinosaur Roar! was inspired by the classic picture book Dinosaur Roar! by Paul Stickland and Henrietta Stickland, first published by Ragged Bears Publishing in 1992.

Natural History Museum

‘The World of Dinosaur Roar’ has been developed in association with the Natural History Museum in London. This amazing institution is known all over the world. It is often considered the grandfather of all natural history museums. It’s founder, Sir Richard Owen, even invented the word dinosaur in 1842.

The World of Dinosaur Roar! Discovery Trail

The World of Dinosaur Roar! Discovery Trail is a dinosaur trail which runs through beautiful woodlands at three farm parks in the UK. Specifically designed for young children, the trail has life-size dinosaur models based on the characters in the books. Along the way, you can find out facts about each of the dinosaurs on the trail.
